Former Buffalo Bills starting quarterback J.P. Losman has signed with the Las Vegas franchise in the United Football League. The league will begin their inaugural season in October with four teams on the football odds board at the online sportsbook. Unless Michael Vick signs with one of the four teams it appears likely that Losman will be the biggest name in the league this season. That might not be saying much considering Losman has not been a very good quarterback of late including last year’s football betting quarterback rating of 62.3.

Football odds information shows that Las Vegas will be coached by former NFL head coach Jim Fassel and Fassel is very happy to have the Bills Quarterback J.P. Losman. “Listen, if he’d have went back to the NFL and sat on the bench this year, then he’d have been no better off next year. Whatever anybody thought about him, they’d still say the same thing. Nothing would’ve changed. … Instead, you go in this league and you play. The risk you take is you don’t play well. But if you’re an aggressive person, you say ‘I’m going to play well, people are going to see me, and maybe I can erase some of those negatives that were in the past, and a lot of people will say, wow, look at him play now. He’s a new guy.'” Fassel said. The UFL season will be a brief one in their first year with each team playing just six games. There will be games in October and November and the online betting title game will be played on Thanksgiving weekend. Getting Losman is a big plus for the Las Vegas team. Losman could also benefit from the coach of Fassel who was with the Giants from 1997-2003.

Losman was drafted in the first round in 2004 by the Buffalo Bills as football betting information showed. He threw for 6,211 yards with 33 touchdowns and 34 interceptions in his career as football betting stats indicate. “The United Football League is providing me with the opportunity to play the sport I love at a high level, and for that I am extremely grateful,” Losman said. “There are many players just like me who possess the skills to compete at the highest levels and just need the playing time to showcase their talents…I am excited to get back onto the field and represent Las Vegas during the league’s first season.” Football betting in the UFL will showcase four teams, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando and San Francisco.
