NFL lines at the sports book have been affected by the injury to Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. The Colts opened as less than a 10 point favorite but the NFL betting odds continue to rise and now Indianapolis is a 10.5 point home favorite in NFL lines.
NFL lines have Hasselbeck being out this week for Seattle. His loss is huge since the backup for Seattle is Seneca Wallace. The Seahawks would have been underdogs in NFL lines at Seattle even if Hasselbeck was healthy but the NFL betting odds would have been much lower. Seattle is on a two-game losing streak and could fall three games out of the NFC West lead with a loss on Sunday in NFL lines. Seattle head coach Jim Mora is aware that the Seahawks have a tough game this week at Indianapolis. “We’ve got a big, big task this week. … What do we do? We go play our tails off,” Mora said, “It’s a formidable challenge, but we’ll be ready for it. We’ll absolutely be ready for it.” The loss of Hasselbeck is huge in NFL lines since he is a three-time Pro Bowl quarterback. “The holdup quite simply with Matt is that he can’t run yet (and) when he takes deep breaths there is pain,” Mora said.
The Seahawks are expected to have linebacker Lofa Tatupu back from a hamstring injury this NFL lines week. They might even get cornerback Josh Wilson back into the lineup. The defense can use all the help they can get against Peyton Manning and the Colts in this NFL lines matchup. Manning has been superb this sports betting season with three 300-yard performances. He has seven touchdowns and two interceptions in three NFL lines games. Mora thinks his team has a chance this week though. “I absolutely believe that when we’re at full strength, we’re a very, very good football team,” Mora said. “There’s a light at the end of the tunnel. There really is. There really is. A bright light.”
Mora is one of few people that believe the Seahawks have a chance this NFL betting odds week. The Colts are getting pounded in NFL lines as virtually everyone sees them winning against the Seahawks. That could mean Seattle is worth a shot since rarely in sports betting does anything work out as you think it should, including NFL betting odds.
