At the onset of the week two teams on the playoff brink were the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans. On the positive, not much was expected from either team on the NFL odds future market. Houston has made tremendous strides under new head coach DeMeco Ryans. So, too, has Shane Steichen made an impact with the Colts. Indianapolis hosts Houston on Saturday night, with the winner almost certain to make the playoffs. Now that both teams have come this far, anything less than victory will be a massive letdown.

Late on Houston won and covered three of its previous five sportsbook matchups. The Texans were picked to finish at the bottom of the AFC South. Instead, Houston has rode rookie sensation QB CJ Stroud to the brink of the playoffs.
CJ Stroud passed for 213 yards and a touchdown in his return from a two-game injury absence. Hence, the Texans kept their postseason hopes alive with a 26-3 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Previously, Stroud missed the last two games with a concussion sustained in Week 14 against the New York Jets. He completed 24 of 32 attempts and tossed a 12-yard touchdown to Brevin Jordan with 10:10 remaining in the second quarter. On the whole, DeMeco Ryans has impressed as the rookie HC. He is in the running for coach of the year honors.

At the same time, Jonathan Taylor ran for 96 yards and another score as the Indianapolis Colts kept their hopes for an AFC South title alive against Vegas. Additionally, Matt Gay added second-half field goals of 38, 33 and 45 yards. Hence, the Colts remained in a three-way tie with Jacksonville and Houston. They’ll have to beat the Texans and hope the Jaguars lose at Tennessee to claim a division crown. Overall, Minshew completed 15 of 23 passes for Indianapolis.
