Micah Parsons – Linebacker – Penn State
On many draft boards, Micah Parsons is easily ranked in the top ten. However, team priorities are not much for linebackers. And that is the trick of the NFL Draft. To be exact, better players are often drafted after lesser ones. It comes down to team needs. Pairing the team needs to player quality is the ultimate sportsbook challenge. New England could be showing an increased interest in Parsons. Bill Belichick desperately needs to upgrade the linebacker position. Further, unless the Hoodie makes a trade-up, the good quarterbacks will be gone when he picks.
Jaylen Waddle – Wide Receiver Alabama
Above all, Jaylen Waddle is the biggest game-breaking receiver on the board. And he ranks in the top three of all receivers. Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts was asked his opinion. And he said his former Alabama teammate Jaylen Waddle would be the best pro of any receiver. Will that make Waddle an Eagle? Don’t be surprised!
DeVonta Smith – Wide Receiver – Alabama
Of course, DeVonta Smith is best known as the 2020 Heisman Trophy winner. Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is entering a critical third season. Smith and Jones make for an obvious pairing. To illustrate, Jones hasn’t had a go-to reliable receiver since taking over under center for Big Blue.
Penei Sewell – Offensive Tackle – Oregon
On the whole, Penei Sewell could be the most overlooked player in the 2021 NFL Draft. And the most valuable. Cincinnati isn’t peaking past Sewell. First overall pick of the 2020 Draft, Joe Burrow lost much of last season. Cause by not being well protected and injury battered. Sewell could end up as the Bengals left tackle for Burrow’s entire career.
Travis Etienne – Running Back – Clemson
Miami needs a running back to balance out their offense and keep the heat off Tua Tagovailoa. Extending that is the opportunity to take Travis Etienne. Most draft boards have Etienne ranked as the best back in the draft.
Najee Harris – Running Back – Alabama Crimson Tide
Fashion that the Steelers have lacked a bell-cow back since the LeVeon Bell fallout. Pittsburgh’s lack of a reliable ground game has been a setback. Najee Harris fills the void with ease.
Quarterbacks Update
We will be remiss if we don’t address the biggest question for 2021 NFL Draft betting. Now it appears as if Mac Jones is going to San Francisco. While Justin Fields is targeted to go the Denver. Late on, the Falcons are said to have the hots for Trey Lance. Atlanta realizes that Matt Ryan is not for long in their organization. Taking Lance would be similar to when Green Bay took Jordan Love in the first round in 2020.
