New York Giants at Minnesota Football Betting

Football betting favors the Minnesota Vikings as they host the New York Giants on Sunday. The Vikings are in the playoffs but still competing for the second seed so this is an important game for them.  The Giants had their chance last week but lost in NFL betting to Carolina.

Football betting has seen both of these teams struggle lately. The Giants were humiliated at home last week by Carolina while Minnesota lost in overtime at Chicago.  The Vikings looked like a potential Super Bowl team a few weeks ago but now they look like a team that could be in trouble. “I would love to be peaking right now,” said quarterback Brett Favre, “And it’s hard to say we’re peaking right now. I know we’re fortunate to be in the playoffs. I have no idea the scenario, but I know we have to play better than we did [against the Bears], and really the last few weeks, or we’ll be home fairly quickly. I’m just being as honest as I can be.”

Minnesota can still get a first round bye if they are able to win this football betting contest against the Giants and if the Eagles lose to Dallas. The Vikings could now end up in a Wild Card game in football betting instead of getting a bye in the first round.  The good news for Minnesota in football betting is that they are at home where they have not lost this season.  On paper, they should be able to handle a New York team that has nothing to play for but in football betting you just never know.

New York has been a very good road team in football betting in recent seasons. The Giants are 20-6 vs. the NFL betting odds in their last 26 road games.  The bad news for New York Giants is that they are just 2-8 vs. the football betting odds in their last 10 games overall. They have done well against the Vikings though, going 4-0 vs. the football betting line in their last 4 meetings in Minnesota.

Minnesota is 3-0-1 in football betting in their last 4 home games. The Vikings are 1-4 in NFL betting in their last 5 games when playing on Sunday following a Monday night game.

The last four New York games overall have gone over the football betting total. The last four Minnesota home games have gone under in NFL betting.
