The NFL Network had a great game last week in NFL betting and we could have another one this week with Chicago in Miami. The Bears are 6-3 and coming off a win over Minnesota while the Dolphins are 5-4 and coming off a victory against Tennessee. You can make an NFL bet on this game at the Sbg sportsbook.
Bears 6-3 SU, 4-4-1 ATS
When you look at the Chicago Bears you really don’t get too excited but this team is somehow 6-3 and in a good position in the NFC. Chicago has an inconsistent offense with Jay Cutler but a good defense and they are winning games. Chicago took away any hopes that Minnesota had last week and now the Bears will look to win on the road at Miami. The Bears are in the top five in the league in defense and they are doing enough on offense to win games. It is always a risk when you make an NFL bet on a team that has Jay Cutler at quarterback but so far so good for the Bears this season. Cutler threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns last week in Chicago’s 27-13 win over Minnesota.
Dolphins 5-4 SU, 6-3 ATS
The Dolphins got a huge win last week as they were able to get past the Tennessee Titans. Miami did it with their third string quarterback as Chad Pennington and Chad Henne were knocked out of the game. Tyler Thigpen came in and played well and Miami stayed in the playoff picture in the AFC. The win by the Dolphins was their first one at home this season and they snapped a five-game home losing streak overall.
Series History
The Dolphins have won four of the last seven meetings between the two teams and they are also 4-3 against the NFL betting spread in those contests. The teams have not played since 2006 when the Dolphins won 31-13 in Chicago. The last time they met in Miami was back in 2002 as the Dolphins won 27-9. This could be a low scoring game considering Chicago has a very good defense while Miami could be starting their third string quarterback. It should be noted, however, that Thigpen is not your average third string quarterback as he was the starter for Kansas City a couple of years ago.
