NFL Betting – Broncos a Field Goal Favorite at Home vs. Seattle

The Seattle Seahawks started the season with a dominating win while the Denver Broncos started the season with a loss but it is Denver who is favored in NFL betting on Sunday. The Broncos are a 3-point favorite in NFL odds at the Sbg sportsbook and the total on the game is 40.

Is Seattle for Real?  There is really only one question to ask yourself when you bet this game and that is whether or not Seattle is for real?  If you believe they are a good team then taking the points at Denver is worth a look. If you think that the Seahawks just beat an overrated 49ers team last week then you take the Broncos. Seattle didn’t do much on the ground last week as they had just 77 yards but their passing game with Matt Hasselbeck was good.  Mike Williams had a good start last week for the Seahawks but he gets a much stiffer test this week against Champ Bailey and the Broncos secondary.

A Game Denver has to Win – The Broncos simply have to win this game.  They have games coming up against Indianapolis, Tennessee, Baltimore and the New York Jets.  They can’t let a win against the Seahawks get away. Kyle Orton played pretty well last week for the Broncos but they just couldn’t do enough to get the win at Jacksonville.

Seattle Doesn’t Handle Prosperity Well – The Seahawks have a new head coach in Pete Carroll but historically they are horrible after a big win.  Just how bad?  The Seahawks are 4-20-2 against the NFL odds in their last 26 games after winning by 14 points or more.
