NFL Betting – NFC Wins Pro Bowl in a Rout and Fans are Happy.  The NFC raced out to a 42-0 lead and held off the AFC 55-41in NFL betting to win the Pro Bowl.  Gamblers that made an NFL bet on the NFC at the Sbg sportsbook were rewarded with a win as were bettors that took the game over the total.  Washington’s DeAngelo Hall was the MVP as he had a fumble return for a touchdown, six tackles and an interception in a game that didn’t have much defense.

NFC Ties Scoring Record
The NFC scored so many points that they tied a record for most points scored by a team in the Pro Bowl. The NFC led 42-0 in the second quarter and 42-7 at the half. Gamblers making an NFL bet may want to know that the NFC tied the record of 55 points that was set by the NFC in 2004. The 96 combined points were the second most in Pro Bowl NFL betting history behind only the 2004 game.  The end of Sunday’s Pro Bowl was really a joke as the NFC didn’t really even try to stop a late score from the AFC as they just stood around and watched.

Tony Gonzalez Also Sets a Record
Atlanta tight end Tony Gonzalez caught a 4-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to give him a record six career TDs in the Pro Bowl. He previously shared the record with Jimmy Smith and Marvin Harrison.

Matt Ryan
Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan threw two touchdown passes for the NFC in the victory.  San Diego’s Philip Rivers and Kansas City’s Matt Cassel threw two touchdowns each for the AFC but each quarterback also had two interceptions.  The AFC threw five interceptions in the game while the NFC threw one. The leading passer in the game was Rivers who threw for 192 yards.

Adrian Peterson
The leading rusher in the game was Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown.  Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs had 72 yards and one touchdown for the AFC.

The NFL thought that moving the game to the week before the Super Bowl would be a good idea but after this year’s game they may want to reconsider that idea. The Pro Bowl has become more of a joke than anything else as neither team tries very hard or cares about the outcome.  The AFC even had quarterback Matt Cassel covering a kickoff while the NFC let a Fox reporter call a play.
