NFL Betting Odds – Green Bay and Rodgers Favored at Philadelphia on Sunday

September 29th, 2022 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

Is there any team in the NFL that is getting more love in NFL betting odds than the Green Bay Packers? They are now the hot pick to win the Super Bowl.  Is everyone right or are the Packers overvalued in NFL odds?  Green Bay is laying points on the road at Philadelphia on Sunday.

The Packers are now a 3-point favorite at the Sbg sportsbook with the total at 47.5.  Green Bay looked great in the preseason and Aaron Rodgers is an excellent quarterback but this is still a road game and the Eagles are not chopped liver.

Green Bay’s Offense – The Packers are considered to have an offense that is one of the best in the NFL.  It seems everyone believes that Rodgers is now up to the level of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady as a starting quarterback.  Green Bay has excellent receivers in Greg Jennings and Donald Driver and one of the best tight ends in the league in Jermichael Finley. There is a lot to like with Green Bay’s offense.

Kevin Kolb – The Eagles have a new starting quarterback this season in Kevin Kolb. He was not that great in the preseason but he was very good last season in relief of Donovan McNabb.  The Eagles should be throwing the ball a lot this season with Kolb. The question is whether they can give him enough pass protection to be effective.

Public Loves Green Bay – There is not a more popular NFL pick this week in NFL betting odds than the Packers. The public has already given this game to Green Bay. You know what that means don’t you?  The Eagles are a very good pick on Sunday. The public can be right sometimes but when you see everyone and their brother on a game you need to be extremely careful about taking them.  The world loves the Packers so you should look long and hard at the Eagles.

Trends – The trends favor the Packers as they are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. the NFC and they are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games in September. The Packers are 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29 road games. There are two trends that do give the Eagles a chance though.  The home team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings between the two teams and the Packers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Philadelphia.
