NFL Betting Online – Redskins at Cowboys

December 22nd, 2020 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

The Dallas Cowboys are favored in NFL betting online as they host the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

The Cowboys are 6-point favorites in NFL betting at the Sbg global sportsbook with the total listed at 45.

No Reason to Like Washington
There is no reason to like the Redskins in this game. Washington had their chances last week and couldn’t even kick an extra point and lost to Tampa Bay. The Redskins are poorly coached, have an old quarterback and are not motivated. The defense has been terrible all season and it is not likely to get any better on Sunday. It could all come apart in this game against the Cowboys.

Cowboys Playing Well
The Cowboys lost to Philadelphia last week but it was close and there is no shame in losing to the Eagles. Dallas is playing well on both sides of the ball and the team is inspired under head coach Jason Garrett. The offense is not great but quarterback Jon Kitna is moving the team and scoring points and the defense is playing better than they did earlier this season. They actually contained Michael Vick a little bit but couldn’t get a stop at the end of the game and the Cowboys lost by three. Dallas had their chances against the Eagles but they did not come up with enough big plays to win.

The Cowboys have the worse record of the two teams but the oddsmakers realize that the Redskins are not a good team. It is simply hard to bet on the Redskins right now as they are a mess. Dallas has looked pretty good with Jason Garrett as their head coach and the Cowboys are almost a TD favorite at home. That is the way bettors are going in NFL betting online and it is hard to argue.

Game Trends
The Redskins and Cowboys have split their last ten games but it is the Redskins who have covered seven of those games in NFL betting. Washington won 13-7 earlier this season at home. Last year when the teams met in Dallas it was a 7-6 Dallas win. The last four games in this series have gone under the total. Perhaps that trend continues as the Redskins offense is weak.
