NFL Betting Page – Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles.  The Philadelphia Eagles are 2.5 point favorites at the NFL betting page as they host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.  This is a rematch of a game earlier this season that the Packers won 27-20.  Gamblers making an NFL bet believe the game will be a high scoring contest. The total is 46 at the Sbg global sportsbook.

Packers Poor on the Road
Green Bay was not a good road team this season as they went 3-5. If the Packers are to make it to the Super Bowl they would have to win three straight games on the road and that doesn’t seem likely.  No team in NFL history has ever won the Super Bowl after having a losing record on the road.  Also going against Green Bay is the fact that no NFC team has ever made the Super Bowl as the sixth seed.  Another problem is the Packers choked in close games. Their six losses game by a combined 20 points.  Aaron Rodgers is a great quarterback but there is still this stigma about him winning close games and he has never won a playoff game. The Packers do have the second rated defense in terms of points allowed per game but they will be challenged by a high-powered Eagles offense.

Eagles Nothing Special at Home
The problem with taking the Eagles in this game with your NFL bet is that they were just 4-4 at home this season.  The Packers lost at home to the Packers but quarterback Michael Vick nearly led a great Eagles comeback in that game.  One thing that the Eagles have in their favor in this game is that they are 7-1 under head coach Andy Reid in playoff openers.  And the Eagles have never lost in the playoffs to Green Bay.

Even Action
Bettors looking at the odds on the NFL betting page really don’t know what to do in this game.  Some of the wise guy action early came in on the Packers but that has tapered off as the game has gotten closer.  Statistical bettors will look at the Packers and see a lot of positives but the bottom line is that somehow this team with the league’s second best defense and tenth best offense lost six games.
