NFL Betting paid off for fans of Bengals, among others

NFL betting fans who stuck to the Cincinnati Bengals after their preseason opener loss to the Minnesota Vikings got their worth for the money they bet on NFL.

Cincinnati Bengals 30-Detroit Lions 14

Bengals running back Jeremy Hill ran for a 9-yard touchdown on his team’s first possession, and Cincinnati went on to a 30-14 win over the Detroit Lions on Thursday 18th. Hill injured his hand in the aforementioned game versus the Vikings, but still managed three carries for 16 yards against the Lions, as well as a reception. Meanwhile, safety Derron Smith returned an interception 60 yards for a TD in the second. Cinci QB Andy Dalton completed 7 of 9 passing attempts for 78 yards. Former Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones – whom the Lions signed in March – recorded four catches for 65 yards facing his previous team.

Philadelphia Eagles 17-Pittsburgh Steelers 0

The Eagles continue the NFL betting preseason streak. Steelers starting QB Ben Roethlisberger was kept off the gridiron – as were running backs Le’Veon Bell and DeAngelo Williams and wide receiver Antonio Brown – and the team suffered from it. Pittsburgh backup QB Landry Jones threw four interceptions, including a 38-yard return TD by CB Nolan Carroll. Jones went going 12 of 20 for 111 yards. Eagles QB Sam Bradford started while Carson Wentz sat this one out with broken ribs. Bradford went 14 of 19 for 115 yards. Chase Daniels opened the 2nd half for the Eagles, and threw 10 of 16 for 82 yards. He also led a 15-play, 87-yard touchdown drive.

Green Bay Packers 20-Oakland Raiders 12

Packers running back Eddie Lacy had nine carries for 45 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown dive on third-and-goal, to cap off a 14-play, 74-yard drive directed by second-year backup QB Brett Hundley, who started for Green Bay in lieu of a (healthy) Aaron Rodgers. Derek Carr took over under center after Hundley injured his ankle. Carr completed 9 of 13 passes for 38 yards and underthrew a pass to receiver Amari Cooper that was picked off by defensive back Damarious Randall. Oakland running back Latavius Murray had six carries for 19 yards against a Packers defense devoid of starting linebackers Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers.

New England Patriots 23-Chicago Bears 22

Tom Brady didn’t make his expected preseason debut and Jimmy Garoppolo took the opportunity to continue cutting his teeth in the starting QB spot. He threw 16 of 21 for 181 yards in the first half plus one series in the second. His Chicago counterpart, Jay Cutler, played three series and completed 8 of 12 passes for 83 yards. Meanwhile, running back Jeremy Langford rushed eight times for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Minnesota Vikings 18-Seattle Seahawks 11

The Vikings defied NFL betting odds and beat the Seattle Seahawks. Starting Seattle QB Russell Wilson was sacked four times in the first half, while undrafted rookie Trevone Boykin was unable to connect with Antwan Goodley in the end zone on the final play, and threw an interception that CB Marcus Sherels returned for a 53-yard TD with 1:23 on the clock.
