Thursday NFL Betting – San Francisco at San Diego.  Two teams that are in must-win situations meet in NFL betting on Thursday night as the San Francisco 49ers visit the San Diego Chargers. This game can be seen on the NFL Network and you can make your NFL bet at Sbg global.

The Chargers are heavy favorites at home in this game but San Francisco showed last week they can still be a team to watch. They pummeled the Seattle Seahawks in a game that was never close.  Alex Smith got the start at quarterback for the 49ers and San Francisco played very well.  Winning against the Seahawks is one thing though while winning at San Diego is another story.

Must-Win Game
The 49ers have to win this game to have any chance of catching Seattle and St. Louis in the rotten NFC West.  The Chargers have to win this game if they want to have a shot to catch Kansas City in the AFC West.  With the Chargers being at home a San Diego win seems more likely.

49ers 5-8 SU, 5-8 ATS
The 49ers have not been a good team for gamblers making an NFL bet this season.  Last week was definitely the exception and not the rule.  San Francisco has not been consistent on either side of the ball.  They figure to have a very difficult time stopping Philip Rivers and the Chargers on Thursday night.

Chargers 7-6 SU, 7-6 ATS
San Diego pulled within a game of the Kansas City Chiefs with their win last week.  If the Chargers can run the table they could end up winning the AFC West if the Chiefs stumble.  When the Chargers are playing well they look like a great team.  San Diego is first in the NFL in fewest yards allowed and they are second in most yards in the league.  There is a lot to like about the Chargers when you make an NFL bet, especially late in the season.

San Francisco Series Success
The 49ers have won six of the last nine meetings against the Chargers although they have not played since 2006 and that was a San Diego rout. The Chargers won 48-19 in San Francisco that season and easily covered the NFL betting number. The Chargers also won in 2002 when they hosted the 49ers.
