NFL Betting Site – Saints Heavily Favored at Seattle in Saturday’s Playoffs

December 11th, 2020 NFL Football Betting Online Odds

The first playoff game on the board at the NFL betting site is Saturday’s matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks.

The game will be televised on NBC on Saturday afternoon in Seattle.  The Saints are 10.5 point favorites in NFL betting at Sbg global.com with the total on the game listed at 45.

Saints Road Warriors
The Saints are not thought of as a great road team but they really are.  New Orleans has only lost four games on the road the past two seasons. Their only two road losses this season were at Arizona and at Baltimore.  The Saints just laid an egg at Arizona early in the season and didn’t take the Cardinals seriously while losing at Baltimore is no disgrace.

Second Meeting this Year
Earlier this season the Saints beat Seattle 34-19 at the Superdome.  And that was considered a good performance from Seattle.  The Seahawks moved the ball well and Matt Hasselbeck had a strong game.  Don’t look for that to happen again as Hasselbeck can barely move while the Saints are much better defensively than they were then. The Saints got 99 yards on the ground from Chris Ivory in that game and now New Orleans has Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush as well.

Hard to Make a Case for Seattle
The Seahawks are at home and normally you would like to make a case for taking the underdog in NFL betting but it is hard to do.  The Seahawks beat the Rams last week but they didn’t really look that good doing it.  The Seahawks are still a rotten team. They have no offense and their defense is nothing special.  Unless New Orleans turns the ball over and makes a ton of mistakes this game should be a rout.  The Saints are the defending Super Bowl champs and they are not going to go into Seattle and lose.

Game Trends
There are some ugly trends for both teams in this game. The Saints are 2-6 against the odds at the NFL betting site in their last 8 games as a road favorite. The Saints are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games in January. The Seahawks are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Seahawks are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog.
