With the 2015-2016 NFL Regular Season Week 10 upon us we take a look at the Thursday Night Football game on Thursday the 12th of November 2015 as the NFL-AFC East rivals Bills of Buffalo 4-4 play at their division rival Jets of New York 5-3 with the game being played at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New York with kick-off scheduled for 8:30 PM ET and seen on NFL TV.
The early odds for those that Bet on NFL football have the Jets of New York favored at -3 with the Over/under at 43 and -175 on the Money Line, while the underdog Bills of Buffalo are at +3 and +155 on the ML. With this game on Thursday it turns out to be a short week for both of these AFC rivals both coming off wins. This past Sunday the Bills beat the Dolphins in Miami 33-17 while the Jets beat the Jaguars at MetLife 28-23!
Those that are fans of the 4-4 Bills of Buffalo your team with the return of K. Williams excited their fans as the beat the Dolphins of Miami Sunday past. Their WR Watkins had a career game as he had 8 receptions for 169 yards and 1 TD in that game. With their QB T. Taylor having a poor performance of only 12 passing attempts for 180 yards, the Bills will seek help form receivers C. Clay and R. Woods in this game to boost the Bills passing attack. In the Miami game Clay only had 1 reception, but leads the team with 35 receptions to date for some 352 yards.
Offensively RB Williams had 112 yards rushing on nine carries and scored 2 TD’s, as he backed up RB L. McCoy who scored 1 TD and rushed for 114 yards against Miami. To beat the Jets the Bill offense needs to balance their attack to compete against the Jets 12th ranked league defense that has only allowed opponents dome 19.8 points each game this season. The Bills in their ultimate 4 games on the road are with 3 wins and 1 loss straight up!
For the fans of the 5-3 Jets of New York your team after consecutive losses managed a comeback to beat the Jaguars this past Sunday at MetLife 28-23. You’re QB R. Fitzpatrick playing with a minor hand injury had a decent game as he completed 21 of his 34 passing attempts for 274 yards. In that game he completed passes to his 2 top receivers in E. Decker and B. Marshall who each caught a TD reception. Their chore on receptions may be more difficult this Thursday as they face the Bills defensive secondary who to date are 7th in the NFL with 8 receptions this season.
What is more troubling for the Jets is the Week 9 performance of their running backs who in the Jaguars game they had just 29 yards rushing, as C. Ivory had 23 carries for a mere 27 yards. Remember the Bills defense haven’t been easy on opponents running games as they are only allowing opponents to rush for 92 yards each game this season.
That indicates that the Bills will put additional pressure on the Jets QB Fitzpatrick in his attempt to lead the team to a win. To date this season he has passed for 1,520 yards and 11 TD’s with 7 intercepts in 2015. In their ultimate 7 games at home the Jets are with 5 wins and 2 losses against the spread.
The prediction for this AFC rivalry game between the Bills and the Jets is fast and easy as the Jets will beat the Bills 21-17 on Thursday Night Football.
