This coming Thursday the 5th of November we have the 2015 NFL Week #9 Thursday Night Football game with the 4-3 Browns of Cleveland (AFC West) playing the 7-0 Bengals of Cincinnati (AFC North) with the game being played at the Paul Brown Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 8:35 PM ET and seen on the NFL Network.
For those fans the Bet on NFL, the early odds at SBG have the 7-0 Bengals of Cincinnati favored at -10 with the Over/under at 46 ½, while the underdog 2-6 Browns of Cleveland at +10.
This 2015 season is the 1st time in the franchise history of the Bengals of Cincinnati that they have been with 7 wins and no losses. What’s amazing is that in their last game with the Steelers, they played their worst game of 2015 but still managed to win for a big victory on the road against Pittsburgh. Now with this game at home the Bengals face the Browns of Cleveland both based in the state of Ohio and the Browns have lost their last 3 games to date.
The fans of the 2-6 Browns of Cleveland let the Cardinals of Arizona know that t he were playing a team that could perform, at least for the 1st half of the game which ended with the score tied at 20 apiece. However, they seemed to run out of gas in the 2nd half of that game and were shutout for the half as they were defeated 34-20 by Arizona. The Brown struggled in their running game, thus QB J. McCown led the rushing with 5 carries for 20 yards, and in the passing game in the 1st half of the game he passed for 3 TD’s.
To date QB McCowan has had a good start for the season as he has passed in their 8 games for 11 TD’s and some 4 intercepts, and meanwhile their rushing game in those 8 games only managed 2 TD’s. In their last game with the Cardinals the RB’s for the Browns only had 15 carries for 22 shameful yards.
Even as the Brown defense against the run and the defense against the pass has struggled, but regardless the Brown over the years they have always made the game difficult for their rival Bengals as in their ultimate 7 games played at Cincinnati the Browns are 4-2-1 against the spread.
In 2014 when they played in Cincy, the Browns managed to hold the Bengals QB Dalton as he completed 10 or his 33 pass attempts for 85 yards in a game which the Browns won 24-3 as the intercepted QB Dalton on 3 occasions.
For the avid fans of the undefeated 7-0 Bengals of Cincinnati you surely know that your QB Dalton has had 2 games in the last 3 where he struggled and in the game with the Steelers they only had 300 yards of total offense and gave up 2 turnovers in the game, but they still managed to win and stay undefeated.
In that game the defense for the Bengals forced QB Roethlisberger into making 2 costly turnovers in the 4th quarter, and then QB Dalton had another game winning drive to beat the Steelers as he did the previous week against the Seahawks of Seattle.
Bengals QB Dalton should see his stats improve in this game, as the Browns will be without 2 secondary players. Also the Bengals running game and RB J. Hill are anxious to face the Brown defensive front that ranks last in the league for run defense allowing 152 yards each game this season. In 2014 the Bengals beat the Browns as they had 3 TD’s on 245 yards rushing. The Bengals have been very consistent at home as in their ultimate 10 home games they are 16-3-1 straight up.
The prediction is that the Bengals had home rediscover their offensive game and rout the Browns at 35-10.
