This Sunday the 8th of November 2015 we are in Week 9 of the NFL 2015-16 Regular Season and we have an excellent early game on Sunday with the 6-1 Packers of Green Bay (NFC North) playing at the 7-0 Panthers of Carolina (NFC South) with the game being at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina with the kick-off scheduled for 1:05 PM ET and seen on Fox TV.
In this Week 9 game for those that Bet on NFL at SBG Global the odds have the 6-1 Packers of Green Bay favored at -2 ½ -115 with the Over/under at 46 1/2 while the underdog 7-0 Panthers at +2 ½ -105 and no early Money Lines available.
The Packers come into this Week 8 game after suffering their 1st loss of the season to the now 7-0 Broncos of Denver, and they will be seeking in this game to return to the win column as they take on the Panthers and QB C. Newton in Charlotte. Fans are wondering can the Packers comeback with a win, or will the Panthers remain undefeated?
For the fans of the 6-1 Packers of Green Bay your team’s chances for a perfect season ended with their bitter loss to the Broncos 29-10 as the Broncos remain 1 of the only 4 undefeated teams in the NFL. The team thought they had a great powerful offense but it was upset by a very strong and stingy Broncos defense that held QB Rodgers of Green Bay to only 50 passing yards in the game, and some 90 yards rushing for a mere total for the game of 140 offensive yards, and only 10 points scored for the entire game.
Unfortunately the Packer QB Rodgers experienced one of the worst games of his career as he only completed 14 of his 22 passing attempts for a mere 78 yards and without scoring a TD in the game and was sacked on 3 occasions by the Broncos defense.
Now the Packer fans are hoping the team can learn from that experience and make a comeback to the win column for their remaining games, especially against the undefeated Panthers this Sunday.
If they are to make a comeback and avoid 2nd setback this season their QB Rodgers will need to redirect his offense, by completing enough passes to his WR duo of J. Jones and R. Cobb. The 2 have a combined 804 yards on receptions this season and 10 TD’s to date. By doing that the Packers can expose the struggling Panthers secondary that has allowed some 230 yards passing by opponents each game this season.
Offensively also the Packers will hope they can step up their RB E. Lacy’s performance who in that last game against the Broncos he only had 11 carries for 39 yards. The Packers in their ultimate 10 games on the road are with 6 wins and 4 losses straight up!
If you like the undefeated 7-0 Panthers of North Carolina the team is presently the only team presently in the NFC that remains undefeated. That puts them in a 1st time in their franchise history to start a season at 7-0, and that game after a difficult win on MNF over the Colts of Indy in OT. That win put them 1 game ahead of the Falcons in their NFC South Division. In that game the Panthers had to struggle for the victory and won the game on an OT winning FG of some 52 yards by G. Cano. QB Newton had a fair game as he passed for 2 TD’s and 248 total passing yards.
Now the Carolina team seeks another win in this Week 9 against the Packers at their own home field, and the Panthers key to a win is for them to take advantage of the Packers struggling in the defense against opponents rushing offenses that are allowing some 125 yards each game rushing.
Thus they will look to their star RB J Stewart who to date has had a great season as he leads their running game that has been averaging each game some 145 yards. Stewart has the team high rushing for the season with 422 yards a 2 TD’s. In the game against the Colts of Indy he carried the ball some 22 times for 84 yards on the ground. We cannot overlook the Panthers TE G. Olsen who has be QB Newton’s prime target in their passing game as after the 7 games this season he has 440 yards on receptions and 3 TD’s, and has 2 games that he reached 100 yards on receptions. The Panthers in their ultimate 10 games with the Packers they are with 4 wins and 6 losses straight up.
The prediction for this game is that QB Rodgers for the Packers re-unites with his powerful offense to overcome and beat the feisty Panthers in an exciting game in Charlotte.
