An interesting game in the schedule of NFL 2015-16 Regular Season Week 4 games that we preview is the Packers of Green Bay 3-0 (NFC North) playing at the 49’ers of San Francisco 1-2 (NFC West) with the game being played at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California with kick-off scheduled for 4:25 PM ET and seen on Fox TV.
For those that Bet on NFL the opening odds at SBG Global the Packers are favored at -8 with the Over/under at 48 ½ and -370 on the Money Line, while the underdog 49’ers are +8 and +310 on the Money Line. While the Packers seek to remain undefeated and want to continue dominating the 49’ers who have been defeated in their last 2 games after winning their season opener.
The fans of the Packers of Green Bay were led to recall that their QB Rodgers is the reigning 2014-15 MVP of the NFC as he had another great game with their win over the Chiefs of Kansas City on their home field Lambeau. Yes he had an amazing game before the 78,000 plus fans as he passed for some 335 yards completing 24 or his 35 passes and without an interception to overpower the Chiefs.
Also having a great game and deserving credit for the win were the top WR’s R. Cobb and J. Jones, as Cobb had 7 receptions for 92 yards and scored 3 TD’s, while Jones has 7 receptions for 140 yards and a TD, and in their 1st 3 games has had a least 1 TD each.
So moving into this game with the 49’ers, the Packers who lead the NFC North are seeking another great performance in Santa Clara as they play the struggling 49’ers that have only in their ultimate 2 games scored a mere 25 points. The Pack also seeks to end their losing streak at Levi Stadium as they have not beaten San Francisco since back in the 2010 season and in their last 6 games they have won 3 and lost 3. The Packers can win this game by overcoming the weak secondary of the 49’ers that have allowed opponents to gain 10 yards on each reception this season in the 1st 3 games.
Thus WR’s Cobb and Jones should be able to improve their statistics by taking advantage of the defensive weaknesses to stay undefeated as they win game 4 this season. Plus we cannot overlook RB Lacy who has not reached his performance level to date, but still in the 1st 3 games he had 22 carries rushing for 95 yards and 1 TD. The Green Bay Packers in their Ultimate 10 games on the road have 5 wins and 5 losses.
For the fans of the 49’ers of San Francisco, we seek appropriate words to describe the performance in Week 3 of your team against the Cardinals of Arizona losing the game 47-7 and that came after a Week 2 losses to the Steelers of Pittsburgh 43-18.
Your team in the Week 3 game just could not get started on offense or defense, and your QB Kaepernick had 1 of his worst game since coming into the NFL. He ended that game completing only 9 of his 19 pass attempts for a mere 68 yards and without a TD and had 4 interceptions his career high in that category.
If the loss was not enough, to make things worse their strong LB N. Bowman and TD V. Davis both left that game with injuries to their knees and did not return to play in the game. Whether they will play against the Packers at this time still remains questionable.
If they are unable to start, then your team need to rapidly find a way to ignite the offense which in their last 2 losing game have been out scored with the opponents combining for 90 points while the 49’ers accumulated just 25. To do such they need to take advantage of their rushing game, one thing that has looked good this year, as they presently rank 2nd in the NFL in their rushing game averaging some 149 yards each game to date.
In doing such their RB C. Hyde would take the lead rushing as he did in t he season opener against the Vikings, as he had some 26 carries for 169 yards and 2 TD’s, and to date he has the team best average for rushing per carry at 4.9 yards on each carry.
On defense it will be interesting to wash the front 7 lead by M. Wilhoite and I. Williams who have combine for 22 tackles in the 1st 3 games as the 49’ers take on the incredible rushing game of the Packers. In their ultimate 5 games at home the 49’er of San Francisco have won 3 and lost 2.
The prediction for this game in Week 4 NFL is that the Packers of Green Bay will stay undefeated as the accumulate their 4 consecutive win of the season as the beat the 49’ers of San Francisco 30-14.
