NFL Week 15 Overview

One of the most important games in the early Sunday window is the Dallas Cowboys at the Carolina Panthers. Consider that Dallas and head coach Mike McCarthy are single-minded in their determination to make the Super Bowl. However, the Cowboys always seem to find a way to self-destruct. Also worrisome is the drop in sports betting production by QB Dak Prescott. But Prescott is in the option year of his contract and could be more focused than usual.

Correlate that NBC Sunday Night Football offers a game that could have significant NFC playoff implications. The Seattle Seahawks will host the Green Bay Packers in an NFL betting odds rematch of a series that has had some big games over the years.

Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur has been a consistent winner for the Pack. But last year was far and away his best coaching performance. LaFleur ushered the Packers through the minefield of Jordan Love taking over as starting quarterback. Of course, Love replaced the departed future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers.

Green Bay won its final three games to gain the playoffs, where they scored a stunning win at the Dallas Cowboys. Consider that Green Bay was written off for dead as December started, but LaFleur and the Packers never flinched.

There are two Monday night games starting on ABC, with the Chicago Bears at the Minnesota Vikings. This NFC North Division showdown could run the extremes of having playoff implications or a matchup of two teams playing out the string. Last year, Minnesota suffered a setback season after making the 2022 playoffs. Now Kirk Cousins is gone, and the QB room is unsettled. Don’t be surprised if Michigan rookie JJ McCarthy is under center by the time this game is played.
