The Jets have done the same thing that the Packers have done in winning two straight on the road. They are not favored to make it three straight though as Pittsburgh is laying just over a field goal at home. The Jets did win last month in Pittsburgh but the Steelers were missing Troy Polamalu and Heath Miller. Both are key players and make a huge difference. Perhaps everything goes according to plan for the Jets and they find a way to win at Pittsburgh but on paper the Steelers have all of the advantages in this game. They have the better offense, the better quarterback, the better defense and they are at home.
Home field advantage should not be underestimated in big games. While it is true that both the Packers and the Jets have been road warriors, winning three straight away from home is something that doesn’t happen very often.
