NFL Playoffs Odds – Championship Game Trends

NFL Playoffs Odds – Championship Game Trends and more.  The NFL playoffs odds on Sunday have the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers favored in the Championship games.Which of the two favorites in NFL playoffs betting has the best chance of covering the spread?  Let’s look at the trends for the two games on Sunday.

Green Bay at Chicago
Packers -3.5, total 43.5 at Sbg global
Green Bay is favored by more than a field goal on the road against the NFC North champs.  The public really is betting Green Bay and the line continues to go up.  Do the trends support the Packers though?  What we do know is that both of their previous meetings this season went under the total and that eight of Green Bay’s last eight road games have gone under but keep in mind that the last four Chicago home games have gone over.  Green Bay was not a great team on the road this season but recently they have gotten hot and they are now 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games.

In the last two games Green Bay was an underdog but on Sunday they are a favorite and that is not a role they do well in. The Packers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 playoff games as a favorite.  Chicago has been very good at home of late going 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. The Bears are also a good underdog as they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog. In this series Green Bay has done well at Chicago going 9-3 ATS in their last 12 meetings but normally they are underdogs, not favorites.

New York at Pittsburgh
Steelers -3.5, total 38.5
Both of these teams have some really good trends. The Jets are simply great on the road getting points as they are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games as a road underdog.  Going against Pittsburgh at home in the playoffs is something you just don’t do though. The Steelers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 playoff home games. The total might be the better play in NFL playoffs odds and it is not what you might think. The Over is 10-1 in the Jets last 11 road games and the Over is 10-1 in the Steelers last 11 playoff home games. The only thing that might point to an under is that the Under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings between the two teams.
