In this article we bring you a brief preview of 2 preseason wk 4 games with the Texans and the Cowboys, and then the Ravens at the Falcons. In these 2 preseason games it’s likely that most of the starters will be on the bench in this week 4. In the 1st game it’s the bird show with the Ravens at the Falcons followed by the 2nd Wild West game between Dallas and Houston as all get ready for the upcoming 2015-16 NFL Season.
So we start with the 1st and early game between the Ravens of Baltimore playing at the Falcons of Atlanta with the game played at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia on the Thursday the 3rd of September 2015 with kick-odd scheduled at 7 PM ET. The early SBG odds have the Falcons favored at PK -120 with the Over/under 39 ½ and the underdog Ravens at PK Even.
Yes, it’s the 4th week of preseason and the starters will be resting, even more so now, since teams have had a lot of early injuries. This holds true with the Ravens, who will give plenty of time to M. Campanaro in his 2nd year and tight end rookies N. Boyle and M. Williams as the starters in the receiving corps take a rest. In the 1st week Campanaro played making 2 catches for 59 yards and a TD playing the Saints, and Williams also had a good game catching 2 passes for some 38 yards in that game.
The Ravens will more than likely start 3rd string QB B. Renner for this week 4 game. In the preseason QB Renner had 2 TD’s on 281 yards completing 26 of his 42 pass attempts, and had 2 intercepts for the 1st 3 preseason games.
For the Falcons of Atlanta their QB will be back-up T. Yates who was injured during the 1st 3 preseason games. However, he still completed 36 of his 58 passes for some 373 yards with 2 intercepts and was sacked some 5 times during that period. For support QB Yates will have WR backup L. Hankerson who for the preseason has had 7 receptions gaining 73 yards in total and 1 TD’ to date.
For you Falcon fans who Bet on NFL we presented the opening odds for you, but you need to know that the Falcons of Atlanta in six of their preseason week 4 tames they have lost 5 of the 6. The prediction is that the back-ups of Baltimore outplay the Falcons subs for the win.
The second game brings us the Wild West show with the Texans of Houston playing at the Cowboys of Dallas also on this Thursday the 3rd of September at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas with kick-off at 8 PM ET and the earl odds at SBG have the Texans the favorites at – 3 ½ with the Over/under for the game at 39 and the underdog Cowboys at + 3 ½ with no early Money Lines.
Since the Texans announced that their starting QB for the 1st regular season game would be QB Hoyer that has back-up QB R. Mallett somewhat confused, but a start in this game will let him work off his frustrations in this last preseason game with the Cowboys, whom may be an easy match-up since they lost the 1st 3 games of this preseason. During this preseason QB Mallett has thrown for 1 TD, completed 25 of 36 pass attempts and had 190 total yards passing, and he faces a Cowboy defense that has had 8 sacks to date in this preseason 2015.
Since the Cowboys back-up QB B. Weeden is under examination for a concussion, the Cowboys will keep QB D. Vaughn and QB J. Showers as backups for starting QB T. Romo. Thus in week 4 if it’s QB Vaughn he has completed passes for 230 yards with 2 intercepts, while QB Shower has only passed for 122 yards but without an intercept. The prediction for this 2nd game is that the Texans of Houston will beat the Cowboys of Dallas and the Texans will cover their -3 ½ spread in doing so.
