NFL Week 13 Overview
Thanksgiving night brings pie and the sportsbook interconference matchup of the Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers. Certainly, Green Bay’s historic Lambeau Field is hard to beat, especially in a holiday football setting. Also, Sunday’s card is not to be missed. There are strong matchups of playoff contenders. Following that is an interesting AFC matchup between the Cleveland Browns at the Denver Broncos.
Starting with Thanksgiving Day, the traditional early game is hosted by the Detroit Lions. The Chicago Bears will provide the opposition. Theoretically, this matchup could be a battle for playoff position. And potentially the NFC North Division lead.
The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys have had a long NFL betting odds rivalry that dates back to 1960. The Cowboys were an expansion team that year. In turn, they have fought with the Giants in some of the biggest and best games in NFL history. Dallas is always a popular play with gamblers. Especially in the casual sector, but the Cowboys are often overhyped.
Thanksgiving night could bring quite an advantage to the Green Bay Packers. As we saw last year, the Miami Dolphins folded in the cold of Kansas City. Green Bay won’t be warm. And it could be bitterly cold with freezing rain or snow possible. If the weather is not dry and above freezing, gamblers will avoid Miami.
Regarding home-field advantage, GEHA Field at Arrowhead is one of the top home venue edges in any sport. And when the Raiders come visiting, Chiefs fans are out for blood. Most importantly, Patrick Mahomes will give the Chiefs a significant advantage at QB.
NBC Sunday Night Football will offer a potential Super Bowl preview when the Buffalo Bills host the San Francisco 49ers. Consider that Buffalo’s Super Bowl window is said to be closing. This night can refute that claim.
