NFL Week 2 Schedule Brings Newness and Quality

Although week one will be in the books, NFL week 2 offers its own newness. The new Prime Video telecast package will take over in week two. First, for the Prime Video schedule is among the best of the year. The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas City faces an increased NFL odds challenge from all four teams in the AFC West. And the Chargers rank as one of the most dangerous threats to KC’s dominance of the division. Last year the Chargers barely missed the playoffs but should have made it.

Prime Video Makes NFL Debut!

Quarterback Justin Herbert transformed the Chargers into one of the most potent offenses in the NFL. Naturally, Kansas City is the AFC West sportsbook favorite on the futures market again. And with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce on the offensive side of the line, points will be plentiful for the Chiefs.

The big question is how the Chiefs will replace game-breaking wide receiver and kick returner Tyreek Hill. Kansas City sees second-round draft pick Skyy Moore out of Western Michigan as the potential answer. Also, JuJu Smith Schuster arrives from Pittsburgh to help fortify the receiver position.

Prime Video will unveil its new announcer team of legendary play-by-play man Al Michaels and color commentator Kirk Herbstreit. Of course, Herbstreit is best known as the marquee man of ESPN college football telecasts.

Packers and Bears Renew Ancient Rivalry

NBC Sunday Night Football gets a week two marquee rivalry matchup of its own. Specifically, the Green Bay Packers will host the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field. The Packers and Bears are the oldest rivalries in the NFL.

Of major concern is that Davante Adams rejected a higher contract from the Packers to play in Las Vegas for the Raiders. Yet, Green Bay waited until the fourth round to draft a wide receiver in the 2022 NFL Draft. Aaron Rodgers will have his work cut out for him in the 2022 campaign.

Meanwhile, the Bears will try and develop help around second-year quarterback Justin Fields, who was left to fend for himself as a rookie in 2021.

Monday Night Double Dip

Week Two features a Monday night NFL betting odds doubleheader. The Buffalo Bills will host the Tennessee Titans on ESPN. And then on the big brother ABC network, the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Minnesota Vikings.

Tennessee had one of the most interesting offseasons in the NFL. To illuminate, the Titans traded top receiver AJ Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles in a shocker. But that was not all. The Titans drafted Liberty quarterback Malik Willis in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In turn, the draft of Willis is seen by most as a vote of no confidence in quarterback Ryan Tannehill. And after Tannehill’s terrible playoff performance in a loss to the Bengals, that would be well-founded.
