Steelers and Browns Kickoff Great Weekend
Namely, Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield received the ultimate vote of no confidence this offseason. The Browns acquired troubled Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. Thus, the selection of Kenny Pickett was cause for wild celebrations in Steel City. Pickett became a Heisman Trophy finalist at the University of Pittsburgh. Pitt uses the same practice and training facilities as the Steelers. Thus, Pickett developed relationships with the NFL club that was able to monitor him closely.
