Week three opens with a traditional rivalry that dates to 1960 and the founding of the American Football League. Specifically, the New England Patriots and New York Jets have shared the same division since the beginning. Concurrently, the Patriots have made NFL odds history for 2024, with Jerod Mayo taking over for Bill Belichick. Of course, the Hoodie rates as the GOAT of NFL coaching. Mayo is expected to be more collaborative and gentler than Belichick. In turn, that usually means potential problems. Of major concern is QB Jacoby Brisset’s challenge from first-round draft pick Drake Maye.

NFL Week 3 Schedule Overview
The Jets have new retro uniforms in their 1980s vintage. Most important of all, New York hopes they can win as long as Aaron Rodgers stays healthy. If so, the Jets figure to have a better online wagering chance to contend this season than the Pats. New England and New York will clash on Thursday Prime Video.
Accordingly, in the late Sunday afternoon window, the Baltimore Ravens at the Dallas Cowboys will draw NFL betting odds attention. Head coach Mike McCarthy will be looking over his shoulder knowing that if he fails to deliver a Super Bowl, Bill Belichick is waiting in the wings.
Specifically, on NBC Sunday Night Football, the Kansas City Chiefs will visit the Atlanta Falcons. At first glance, the Chiefs look like a heavy favorite. Certainly, the betting public is likely to confirm that reality. Atlanta has a new head coach, Raheem Morris. Of major concern is a crowded QB room with Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix, Jr, Penix is the controversial first-round draft pick in April. The Chiefs can often be distracted and sloppy against lesser foes. So, the threat of an upset will be in the air.
A Monday night doubleheader will put a bow on Week 3. ESPN will offer the Jacksonville Jaguars at Buffalo Bills, and then 45 minutes later, ABC will broadcast the Washington Commanders at Cincinnati Bengals.
Washington will turn the page with a new era of its own. To show, 2023 Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels is the probable starter and number one on the current depth chart.
Cincinnati is focused on regaining its old playoff form with the return of QB Joe Burrow. Last year, Burrow missed the stretch run of the 2023 season. Cincinnati was the 2021 AFC champion and will fight this year for a return to the Super Bowl.
Jayden Daniels has more aura than your favorite QB.
