NFL Superbowl Odds and Football Betting Lines

NFL odds especially Super Bowl odds, are the most popular of all forms football odds. NFL odds are the most popular on point-spread sides. This is also known as the betting spread, or the line. Gamblers have a choice of taking the favorite at minus points or the dog at plus points in football lines.

Also available on all NFL games and many college games are Over/under football odds, also known as totals. That is where you are wagering on whether or not the combined score between two teams will go over or under the football lines.

For gamblers that don’t like pointspreads but believe that they can pick winners straight up, then money line football betting lines are great options. Instead of laying or taking points with football betting odds, a gambler can either lay NFL betting odds on the favorite or take NFL football lines on the dog.

Gamblers can also choose to bet parlays. A parlay is a group of plays ranging from two to ten that are merged into a single wager in which all of the plays must win for the bet to win versus the football lines.

Teaser wagering is similar to parlays with the difference being you get points added to your wager. For example, a team that was a +4 point underdog on the regular and parlay line is a +10 dog on the 6-point teaser line. The trade off is that teasers payoff at lesser football odds than parlays.

Another popular option with NFL lines is “Futures” where you bet on a team to win the Super Bowl, division, season wins, etc. These are NFL betting lines that gamblers like to look at before the season begins but are also available throughout the year.

Cleveland’s Streak-Filled Year

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns Earlier this year, the Cleveland Indians shocked the gambling community when they put together a jaw-dropping 14 win streak. It had been a while since we had seen such an impressive win streak in the MLB, but now it seems that the city of Cleveland is hell bent on achieving another surprising streak. However, this time it’s in the NFL and instead of a win streak, it is an appalling losing streak. The NFL football odds didn’t predict a breakout season for the Browns, but it also didn’t foretell a winless year either.

Washington Could Hand the Packers Their 4th Straight L

Green Bay Packers vs. Washington Redskins BettingAt the start of the season, it seemed that 2016 would have nothing but good things in store for the Green Bay Packers. But now that we’re more than halfway through the season, it’s clear that the opposite is true. Heading into Week 11, the Packers have a losing record, are ranked 3rd in the division, are on a 3 game losing streak, and currently have a -4 turnover ratio. It’s certainly been a rollercoaster and the difference between what the sportsbook projected for the Packers and what they accomplished is only comparable to the gaping difference between what the polls projected for Hillary Clinton, and what the results at the booths actually were. The Packers’ season has been disappointing for the coaches, players, and fans but there’s still time for Green Bay to prove themselves worthy of your bet on NFL money lines. Unfortunately, no one with a sound mind would pick them in their next contest.

Why the Cowboys should not start Romo (until Dak fails)

Cowboys should not start Tony Romo As long as the Dallas Cowboys keep on winning, fans who bet on NFL don’t care if they put Gus the Mule on the team. However, Steven Ruiz over at USA Today says the Cowboys should pick Tony Romo – who returned to practice this week – over rookie Dak Prescott. Why? Because “Romo has never been able to play with a supporting cast this talented, has been a top-10 quarterback when healthy and would allow the Cowboys to open up the entire playbook.” And presumably rip it in half like a phonebook.
