NFL odds especially Super Bowl odds, are the most popular of all forms football odds. NFL odds are the most popular on point-spread sides. This is also known as the betting spread, or the line. Gamblers have a choice of taking the favorite at minus points or the dog at plus points in football lines.
Also available on all NFL games and many college games are Over/under football odds, also known as totals. That is where you are wagering on whether or not the combined score between two teams will go over or under the football lines.
For gamblers that don’t like pointspreads but believe that they can pick winners straight up, then money line football betting lines are great options. Instead of laying or taking points with football betting odds, a gambler can either lay NFL betting odds on the favorite or take NFL football lines on the dog.
Gamblers can also choose to bet parlays. A parlay is a group of plays ranging from two to ten that are merged into a single wager in which all of the plays must win for the bet to win versus the football lines.
Teaser wagering is similar to parlays with the difference being you get points added to your wager. For example, a team that was a +4 point underdog on the regular and parlay line is a +10 dog on the 6-point teaser line. The trade off is that teasers payoff at lesser football odds than parlays.
Another popular option with NFL lines is “Futures” where you bet on a team to win the Super Bowl, division, season wins, etc. These are NFL betting lines that gamblers like to look at before the season begins but are also available throughout the year.
This Sunday, the 21st of December 2014 in Week 16 of the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs 8-6 (2nd AFC West) travel to Pennsylvania to play the Pittsburgh Steelers 9-5 (2nd AFC North). This past Monday night, in Week 15 of NFL regular season we got to see the New Orleans Saints now 6-8 (1st NFC South) beat the struggling Chicago Bears now 5-9 (4th NFC North) 31-15 as Saints QB Brees threw for 3 touchdowns on 375 yards passing.
In Week 15 of NFL football, we saw the now 2-12 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4th NFC South) lose to the now 5-8-1 Carolina Panthers (1st NFC South) 19-17 as Carolina stays alive in the NFC South.
This past Sunday night, Dec. 14th 2014 of NFL Week 15 the now 10-4 Dallas Cowboys (1st NFC East) had to rally to beat the now 9-5 Eagles (2nd NFC East) after they blew at 21-0 as by the end of the third quarter they were ahead 28-24, then scored 10 fourth quarter points as the Eagles only manage 3 more points in the game, thus the final score was 
Week 15's Monday Night Football, to be played on December 15, should have been a good matchup. But with both teams having disappointing seasons, it may be a good game but has little to do with the success of each team. The New Orleans Saints (5-8, 1st in the NFC South) take on the Chicago Bears (5-8, last in the NFC North) at Soldier Field in Chicago. The game kicks off at 8:30 PM ET, and will be televised on ESPN TV.
This Sunday the 14th of Dec. 2014, one game that should be very interesting in NFL Week 15 is the match-up between the Miami Dolphins 7-6 (2nd AFC East) playing the New England Patriots 10-3 (1st AFC East) with the game played at the Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, with game time at 1 PM ET and on CBS TV, with the Patriots favored at –7 ½ with O/U 48 and ML -360 with comeback ML +300 on the Dolphins.
