The New England Patriots are excited to start the 2009 NFL season with a healthy Tom Brady and a multitude of offensive weapons. Randy Moss believes they can do just as well as their record-breaking 2007 season. “The sky’s the limit for this offense,” Moss told ESPN. “I think that we could be a little bit better than two years ago.” Welker agrees with Moss saying that the Pats are better than they were two years ago simply because of their experience in the offense. Welker had 112 catches two years ago and 111 catches last season.
The Patriots open up the 2009 regular season at home against the Buffalo Bills in the Monday Night Football opener on ESPN. It should be a showcase for the Patriots offense against Terrell Owens and the Bills. The Patriots are likely to be about a 10 point favorite in football odds at the sports book in their home opener.
