Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore NFL Betting

NFL betting on Sunday night has a key game in the AFC North as the Baltimore Ravens host the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game that can be seen on NBC television. The Steelers are coming off a loss last week against Kansas City in pro football betting that dropped them to 6-4 while the Ravens lost at home to Indianapolis to fall to 5-5.

NFL betting has both teams trailing Cincinnati in the division so this game is critical.  The Steelers will have quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on Sunday night but they may be without safety Troy Polamalu.  The Steelers and Ravens usually play close, hard fought games so this NFL betting matchup should be a good one. “You know it’s fireworks every time we play these guys, we’re excited about preparing for them,” Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin said.

The key injuries in this game are on the defensive side of the ball.  Polamalu is the most important player on defense for Pittsburgh and he probably won’t play.  Terrell Suggs is probably the player that makes the biggest impact for Baltimore on defense and he may not play.

The Ravens need to get their offense going if they are going to make the playoffs.  Quarterback Joe Flacco has not thrown a TD pass in three straight NFL betting games. He did not play well last season against the Steelers as he threw just one TD pass against five interceptions.  He was also sacked 10 times in the three losses.

Pittsburgh has struggled in NFL betting of late. The Steelers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games on grass. The Steelers are 3-8 in pro football betting in their last 11 games overall. The Steelers are 1-6 vs. NFL betting lines in their last 7 road games. The Steelers are 1-4 in NFL betting in their last 5 meetings in Baltimore.

NFL betting has the Ravens at 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games. The Ravens are 17-7 vs. the NFL betting pointspread in their last 24 games overall.

Five of the last seven Pittsburgh games on the road have gone over in NFL betting. 17 of their last 24 against AFC teams have gone over in pro football betting.

The last four Baltimore divisional games have gone under in NFL betting. The last four Baltimore home games have also gone under in pro football betting.  The only thing that points to a high scoring NFL betting contest is that five of the last six meetings between the two teams have gone over.
