At the onset of the offseason were concerns that Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would depart. Instead, Rodgers signed an extension to likely end his career in Green Bay. But that was only half of the story with the NFL odds. Shockwaves were sent through the NFL when the Pack traded their top receiver, Davante Adams, to the Las Vegas Raiders. Since the Brett Favre days, Green Bay has often been characterized as a 1-man team. The Packers felt spending too much on a star quarterback was more important than depth.

Green Bay Packers SBG Odds Overview
Since Aaron Rodgers took over as starting quarterback in 2008, Green Bay has only one Super Bowl appearance. Fortunately, Green Bay won the 2010 season championship. Additionally, the Packers have been a playoff regular for over 25 years. Thus, there are two strong sides to the online betting debate. Giving Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers rich contracts made the Packers into consistent contenders. However, Green Bay has often been found lacking in being the complete team necessary to win the Super Bowl.
Now the panic is on full blast as the frozen tundra starts to thaw for offseason workouts. Rodgers is back but has nobody to throw to. Additionally, this has to reopen old wounds from two years ago. To illuminate, Rodgers begged the Pack to draft some receiver depth. Instead, they drafted Rodgers’ heir apparent, Jordan Love.
Davante Adams’ Monster Production
Davante Adams’s departure is a gutshot to Rodgers and the Packers. Adams is a 2-time First-Team All-Pro and a 5-time Pro Bowler. He led the NFL in touchdown catches in 2020. Last year Adams caught a career-best 123 passes, good for 1553 yards and 11 touchdowns with 12.6 yards per catch. Also, the yardage for Adams was the most of his career. Adams caught 111 passes or more in three of the past four seasons. The exception to that was 83 catches in 2019.
You don’t make that production up in the NFL Draft. Regardless of the quality of a top pick.
Where does the pack Go from Here?
Green Bay has not immediately addressed the massive void left by Adams with the NFL betting odds. First, coming to mind is that Rodgers will have to spread the wealth around far more than in the past. Green Bay has not picked a wide receiver in the first draft round in 20 years. Sure, the Packers got two draft picks for Adams, but draft picks are not Davante. Even getting a receiver that can produce half of what Adams did will be a tall task. Green Bay has four picks in the first two rounds. Gamblers and fans will be riveted.
