Super Bowl Odds and TV

Super Bowl XLV will be played on Sunday, February 6th from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas and Super Bowl odds are on the board right now at Sbg global.  This year the game will be shown on Fox television in the United States and gamblers around the world are ready for Super Bowl betting.

As usual, there is a break between the AFC and NFC Championship games and the Super Bowl. That gives everyone more time to talk about the game and make their wagers.

Most Watched Game of the Year
Did you know that the Super Bowl is the most watched game of the year? It should not come as a surprise since even people who don’t normally watch sports will watch the Super Bowl.  Many people watch the game at home but there are some that will watch the game at the numerous Super Bowl parties around the world.  This year it will be Fox televising the game in the United States with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman calling the game.

Choices Abound in Super Bowl Odds
There are so many options to consider for Super Bowl XLV. You have the normal options of betting on who you think will win and whether the game will go over or under but that is just the start.  You can still play a parlay, a teaser, bet the individual quarters, the half, money lines and the hundreds of proposition wagers.  In recent years the props have gotten as much attention as the side and total.  It seems everyone wants to be in action so they start by betting the coin toss and continue with props that last the entire game.

No Longer Favorite and Over
Do you remember when it was a no-brainer to bet the favorite and the over in the Super Bow?  Those days are over.  The underdog has covered the spread in the last three Super Bowls and five of the last six games have gone under the total.  Sportsbooks are always worried about the favorite and the over because gamblers will parlay the two.  They haven’t had to pay out that parlay though since 2001 when Baltimore beat the Giants and even in that game the over was not a popular bet with those two defenses.  In the last nine Super Bowls a better parlay would have been the underdog and the under as it has cashed four times vs. the Super Bowl odds.
