Running Backs with Impact Potential

Once upon a time, NFL teams coveted running backs as much or more than quarterbacks in the NFL Draft. And for a contrarian move, a running back can make a strong online betting contribution to his team. But with quarterbacks being valued more than ever, the running back position has become secondary to receivers and QBs.

First among running backs in the draft is Bijan Robinson of Texas. Despite his 220-point frame, Robinson impresses everyone with his start and stop ability. Naturally, an Alabama back ranks second to Robinson. Jahmyr Gibbs of the Crimson Tide is rated as one of the potential sleepers of the draft.

Quentin Johnston Tops Receivers

Of course, it stands to reason that if you have a great QB, you need a great WR for him to throw to. This year two receivers stand apart in the 2023 NFL Draft. First, Quentin Johnston of TCU is considered to be the dream receiver. Johnston is 6-4 215 pounds, with a college career average of 18.8 yards per catch. Second on the WR charts is Jaxton Smith Njigba of Ohio State. In 2021 he was Ohio State’s leading receiver. And then Jaxton has breakaway speed that can’t be coached.

Skoronski Expected to Go in Top Ten as Tackle

Northwestern offensive tackle Peter Skoronski is the most coveted player at that all-important position. Most draft analysts have Skoronski going in the top 10 of the 2023 NFL Draft. Last year, Skoronski permitted only six pressures on 474 pass-blocking snaps. Nobody else comes close to Skoronski in the OT rankings.

Teams Dream of Finding the Next Travis Kelce

Although Rod Gronkowski gets the media love, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has done the most to redefine the position. In a similar way to Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, NFL teams dream of finding the next Kelce.

This year, Dalton Kincaid of Utah rates above all others as the most coveted 2023 NFL Draft betting tight end. Last season Kincaid caught 70 passes for 890 yards. NFL scouts love that Kincaid bridges the gap between a tight end and a wide receiver.

Will Anderson Tops Edge Rushers

In this quarterback-centric era, defensive EDGE rushers are of premium importance. EDGE rushers can have an impact on games like no other defensive player. Thus, Alabama’s Will Anderson could go as high as third in the 2023 NFL Draft.
