Vikings and Eagles Kick Off NFL Week 2 Schedule

Vikings and Eagles Kick Off NFL Week 2 Schedule

Last year two of the biggest surprise teams were the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles. The Vikings finished with a 13-4 record to wrest the NFC North Division title away from the Green Bay Packer dynasty. However, Minnesota stumbled with the NFL betting odds to the New York Giants in the NFC Playoffs. Now for the 2023 season, fans remain skeptical of the Vikings’ ability to repeat their 2022 performance. The Vikings open Week 2 of the 2023 season with a Thursday night clash with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Looking at popular tickets in the sports betting future market, Philadelphia fits the bill. The Eagles are coming off an excellent performance in the 2023 NFL Draft. Still, some Wise Guys don’t like all of the public attention the Eagles are getting. Also, everything went right for the Eagles in 2022. And that Football Gods rarely allow a near-perfect season to be repeated.

In Week 2, NBC Sunday Night Football will offer a strong AFC East Division rivalry matchup between the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. Last season, New England suffered from a popgun offense and some bizarre Pro football betting odds losses to finish 8-9. Meanwhile, the Dolphins rallied to make the playoffs despite losing oft-injured quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Most important of all, gamblers get the treat of a Week 2 Monday Night doubleheader. The Carolina Panthers will host the New Orleans Saints to begin the evening. And one hour later, one of the great and ancient rivalries will kick off as the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Cleveland Browns.

Of course, all eyes will be on Carolina quarterback Bryce Young, the first overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Alabama. Conversely, the Saints acquired Derek Carr from the Las Vegas Raiders to fill their quarterback job.

Last year the Steelers recovered from a terrible start in a rebuilding year to finish 9-8. The strong close has given them momentum and optimism about a potential playoff return.
