Vikings Face Ultimate Pro Football Betting Challenge at Green Bay

Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers

Above all last Sunday night was a prime example of how difficult it is to win at Lambeau Field.  Consider Chicago held a 20-0 lead over Green Bay late in the third quarter in week one.  Granted, the Packers were looking as good as dead.  However, they again proved the Pro Football betting worth of their home field.  Consider as an illustration the Packers 24-23 win over Chicago.  Aaron Rodgers hit Randall Cobb for a 75-yard touchdown pass with 2:13 to play for the win.  But another factor gets lost in that.  Specifically, the Pack did not get the cash.

Green Bay Packers

Indeed, Green Bay was a seven-point Pro Football betting overlay last week.  Such as that was the case it maintains a bothersome drop in wagering value at Lambeau by the Pack.  Additionally, having to pull a rabbit out of the hat against subpar Chicago doesn’t inspire confidence.  In the first place Green Bay is again totally dependent upon a quarterback.  Just like the days of past with Brett Favre the Packers cannot function without Rodgers.  After all, when he went down to injury last year they were rendered helpless.  It follows doubts remain about the Pack’s ability to win independently.

Minnesota Vikings

Balanced against that was Minnesota’s 24-16 home payout in their opener against the 49ers.  Kirk Cousins passed for 244 yard and two touchdowns in his Vikings debut.  Concurrently the defense shut down the 49ers and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.  To illustrate Garoppolo posted a subpar quarterback rating of 10.6 with three interceptions.  And he was sacked three times.

Cousins

Cousins was hailed as the final missing piece of the Super Bowl puzzle for Minnesota.  Consistent with that was the Vikings appearance in the NFC championship game last year.  More emphatically Green Bay has seemed to have lost its firm grip on the NFC North.  Likewise, Minnesota is built as a complete team.  Likewise, they are the justifiable favorite to take the division.

Stats to Consider

Extending Minnesota’s respect is four payouts in their last six away games.  Additionally, Four of those six matchups went over the total.  Following that is Green Bay’s drop-in value at home.  To demonstrate the Packers have lost five of their last six vs. the odds at Lambeau Field.

Team vs. Team

Commencing with the last five matchups the Vikings have had the sportsbook online edge in this series.  To show they have covered four of those five games.  Six of the last seven between these teams went under the total.  Further, Minnesota has been able to hold their own at Lambeau Field.  Owing to three payouts in their last five visits.  Three of the last five between these teams at Green Bay went over the total.

Matchup to Watch

Regardless of Rodgers heroics last week’s Packer win revealed their Pro Football betting weakness.  Starting with the fact that they are an incomplete team.  Counter to that is Minnesota.  Along the same lines they are much more solid.  As was previously noted they also have the edge in this series.
