Washington Commanders Team Overview

Last game, the Washington Commanders lost 28-27 against the Pittsburgh Steelers as 2.5-point home favorites. The game went over the online betting total of 45.5. Washington has a record of 7-3 straight up, 7-2-1 against the spread, and 7-3 over/under the total. Washinton ranks 4th for total offense, 11th for passing, 4th for rushing and 3rd for scoring. Defensively they rank 14th overall, 5th against the pass, 28th against the rush, and 12th for points allowed. Also, Washington ranks 1st for the fewest turnovers lost and 26th for takeaways.

At the onset, Washington led 24-14 but couldn’t hold on as it attempted to get to 8-2 overall for the first time since 1986. Daniels, the No. 2 overall draft pick who has starred for first-year coach Dan Quinn, was 17 for 34 for 202 yards without a touchdown or interception. Also, he had three carries for 5 yards, his lowest output as a pro. At the same time he is dealing with a rib injury that he described as “still there, but it’s nothing that’s holding me back.” As for watching his counterpart Wilson, Daniels observed: “He made plays when the plays needed to be made.”

C Tyler Biadasz (ankle) left the game briefly but returned. Meanwhile, RT Andrew Wylie (shoulder) was a late scratch. Newly acquired CB Marshon Lattimore (hamstring), RB Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring), and K Austin Seibert (hip) sat out, as expected. In turn, Seibert’s replacement, Zane Gonzalez, made two field goals.

Philadelphia Eagles Team Overview

Last game, the Philadelphia Eagles won 34-6 against the Dallas Cowboys as 7-point road favorites. The game went under the total of 45. Philadelphia has a record of 7-2 straight up, 5-4 against the spread, and 4-5 over/under the total. Philadelphia ranks 6th for total offense, 20th for passing, 2nd for rushing and 7th for scoring. Defensively they rank 2nd overall, 3rd against the pass, 5th against the rush, and 5th for points allowed. Also, Philadelphia ranks 11th for fewest turnovers lost and 15th for takeaways.

Initially, Jalen Hurts had just lost a fumble that could have put Philadelphia behind in the first half against Dallas. But an inept Cowboys offense missing quarterback Dak Prescott couldn’t do anything with it. And Hurts didn’t make another big mistake after that. In sum, Hurts threw two touchdown passes and ran for a pair of scores, and the Eagles rolled to a 34-6 victory over the bumbling Cowboys on Sunday in the first game since Prescott tore a hamstring.

Hurts shook off two sacks from Micah Parsons in the star pass rusher’s return from a four-game absence with an ankle injury. Consider the second sack leading to the fumble that put Dallas on the Philadelphia 6-yard line with the Cowboys trailing 7-3.
