Naturally, the NFL uses its opening weekend for maximum exposure with attractive games that generate instant momentum. It all begins with the traditional NBC Thursday night game. The Buffalo Bills will visit the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. This NFL odds tilt serves as more than a kickoff to the NFL regular season. In turn, it marks the new NBC Sunday Night Football broadcast team. Mike Tirico replaces the legendary Al Michaels as the play-by-play man. Chris Collinsworth is still the game analyst. Melissa Stark is the new sideline reporter, replacing the retired Michele Tafoya.

An Instant Classic in Thursday Night Opener?
Of course, the Bills are coming off a great regular season that ended in excruciating heartbreak. Buffalo’s overtime loss in the divisional playoffs at Kansas City was one of the greatest games in NFL history. By contrast, the Rams are coming off the high of their first Super Bowl championship in the City of Angels.
Additionally, the Thursday night online betting matchup pits two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Josh Allen of the Bills and Matthew Stafford of the Rams bring firepower. Indeed, NBC and the NFL have a gem of an opener.
Bears and 49ers Begin New Era
One of the most attractive early games on Sunday is the San Francisco 49ers at Chicago Bears. Certainly, these two legacy franchises always generate TV ratings and gambling activity, regardless of their records.
Matt Eberflus will be making his head coaching debut for the Bears. But second-year quarterback Justin Fields needs an improved supporting cast more than anything else.
Meanwhile, the 49ers are expected to start their own second-year quarterback Trey Lance. Last year, Jimmy Garoppolo took the Niners to the NFC Championship game and remained on the roster heading into training camp.
Sunday Night Marks Marquee Men
On NBC Sunday Night Football, the Tamp Bay Buccaneers travel to Jerry World to face the Dallas Cowboys. Of course, that means quarterbacks Tom Brady and Dak Prescott will light up the marquee.
Dallas showed marked improvement last year in winning the NFC East. But their playoff debacle against the 49ers won’t be forgotten for years to come. Tampa Bay suffered a crushing home playoff loss to the Rams after seeming to have the game won late.
NFL Monday Night Football Rebrands
Monday Night Football will rebrand with a new announcing team. Specifically, the former number one FOX Network tandem of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will make their debut. Most important of all, ESPN gets a phenomenal NFL betting odds matchup. Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos will travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks. Of course, Wilson led the Seahawks to two Super Bowls and one championship.
