Week 14 Features Plenty of Playoff Previews

When December and Week 14 arrive, it’s time for the NFL odds stretch run. And the first game of the week is the ultimate proof of playoff pressure. The Detroit Lions will host the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Prime Video. The Packers and Lions could be clashing for the NFC North lead and playoff position. Accordingly, that is what gamblers and many NFL commentators believe. But the Packers have not won over the Wise Guys despite making the playoffs and winning a playoff game at Dallas. Followed by a winnable postseason game at San Francisco.

Week 14 Overview

The top offshore betting game of the late Sunday afternoon window is the Buffalo Bills at the Los Angeles Rams. Both teams are capable of the Super Bowl run. But these clubs are also capable of potentially missing the playoffs.

NBC Sunday Night Football offers an outstanding AFC West Division matchup when the Kansas City Chiefs host the Los Angeles Chargers. Since 1960, the Chiefs and Chargers have shared the same division and the founding of the American Football League. The NFL betting odds rivalry and history between these teams are hard to match and will be accentuated for this matchup.

Jim Harbaugh’s arrival as head coach of the Chargers gives them the desperately needed credibility that they lacked in the past. The Chargers have been derided for moving to Los Angeles. Correlate it was correctly said they were not wanted. For the first time since their move from San Diego, the Chargers have created interest in Los Angeles and ticket demand.

Harbaugh was attracted to the Chargers because of his past love of and success in California. He was a big winner with the University of San Diego, Stanford, and the San Francisco 49ers. Following a national championship at Michigan last year, Harbaugh is dreaming of the Lombardi Trophy to complete his career resume.

Since 2016, the Chiefs have won the AFC West every year en route to four Super Bowl appearances and three Lombard Trophy wins. Kansas City is the presumptive AFC favorite. Until they are knocked off as the replacement dynasty that took that mantle from the New England Patriots.

ESPN and ABC have an outstanding Monday night matchup, with the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Cincinnati Bengals. In turn, the Cowboys and Bengals could conceivably meet in the Super Bowl.

Last year, the Bengals could not overcome the loss of QB Joe Burrow, who was injured and out for the playoff stretch drive. Meanwhile, Mike McCarthy is facing a Super Bowl or Bust season as the Cowboys coach.
