Week 17 Overview

The Chiefs were born in the American Football League, founded by their late owner, Lamar Hunt. Kansas City is the two-time defending Super Bowl champion and has hoisted the Lombardi trophy three times since 2019. One of the most painful offshore betting losses in Chiefs history occurred on Christmas Day, 1971. To illustrate, when they lost the longest game ever played against the Miami Dolphins. Correlate that it was the close of the original era of glory for the Chiefs. That time they included Super Bowl I and IV berths, with a win in the latter affair.

The Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans will meet in the second half of the Christmas Day doubleheader. The Ravens and Texans could be an NFL betting odds playoff preview. Namely, Lamar Jackson and CJ Stroud make for a compelling QB matchup.

On the Sunday afternoon late window, the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Dallas Cowboys. Correlate it is expected to be one of the biggest games of the regular season. The NFC East should be on the line, at least it better be, as far as hot-seat coaches Mike McCarthy of Dallas and Nick Sirianni are concerned. Dallas owner Jerry Jones is in his early 80s and is more desperate than ever for a final Super Bowl championship. But the Cowboys have never been able to put together a complete team since Jimmy Johnson left Jones in 1994

NBC Sunday Night Football offers a matchup of two teams who made the 2023 NFL Playoffs. The Cleveland Browns will host the Miami Dolphins in another cold-weather venue that could have a dramatic effect on the game.
