
Denver is the defending national champion and one of the most successful college hockey programs in history, with ten national titles. Denver is back to defend its Frozen Four odds title with its 19th Frozen Four appearance. The Boston University Terriers will be aiming for their sixth national championship at the 2025 Frozen Four. Boston U will take on the Penn State Nittany Lions. The Nits are in the Frozen Four for the first time in school history. Meanwhile, the Western Michigan Broncos are also in their historic first Frozen Four.

Boston University
Overall, the Boston University Terriers finished 23-13-2 this season and were the regular-season champions of Hockey East. Penn State Nittany Lions
The Penn State Nittany Lions beat Maine 5-1 in the semifinals and then beat UConn 3-2 in overtime to reach the school’s first Frozen Four. Also, in the regular season, Penn State finished 21-13-4 and was 9-11-4 in the Big Ten Conference. Head coach Guy Gadowsky has been at the helm since 2013-14 and has a career Frozen Four lines record of 216-185-69. In Big Ten action, Penn State scored 78 goals and allowed 88.
Namely, Aiden Fink led Penn State with 23 goals, 30 assists, 53 points, and a +16. Goaltender Arsenii Sergeev was 19-8-4 with a 2.56 goals against average, .918 save percentage, and four shutouts.
Denver Pioneers
The Denver Pioneers finished 30-11-1 overall and had an NCHC record of 15-8-1. Overall, Denver totaled 89 goals for and 59 goals agaisnt in conference play. In the semifinals, the Pioneers defeated Providence 5-1 and then beat Boston College 3-1 to clinch the Frozen Four. Head coach David Carle has led Denver to two national championships in the past three seasons.
First among Denver scorers is Jack Devine with 13 goals, 44 assists, 57 points and a +16. Aidan Tompson adds 20 goals, 34 assists, 54 points, and a +16. Carter King scored 21 goals with 22 assists for 43 points and a +17. And then Sam Harris added 23 goals, 12 assists, 35 points, and a +14. Top goaltender Matt Davis posted a record of 29-9-1 with a 2.07 goals agaisnt average, .923 save percentage, and one shutout.
Western Michigan Broncos
The Western Michigan Broncos have a record of 38-30-7. Including 29-4-1 in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference. The Broncos won the NCHC regular season and tournament titles with 98 goals for and 51 goals allowed. Namely, head coach Pat Ferschweiler is a Bronco alum and former player. He has led the Broncos to the NCAA Tournament in all three seasons he has been behind the bench.
Late on, in the NCAA Tournament, Western Michigan defeated Minnesota State 2-1 in a double overtime thriller and then scored a 2-1 win over Massachusetts to reach the Frozen Four. First among Western Michigan scorers is Alex Bump, with 23 goals, 24 assists, 47 points, and a +8. Goalie Hampton Slukynsky had a record of 17-5-1, a 1.92 goals against average, a .923 save percentage, and one shutout.
