Friday NHL Betting – Blackhawks at Flames

The defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks will look to pick up another NHL betting win as they travel to Calgary on Friday to face the Flames. The Blackhawks started their “circus” road trip with a win in Edmonton on Wednesday and will try and make it two straight on Friday.  With the way the Flames are playing it is likely that gamblers at the Sbg sportsbook will make their NHL bet on Chicago.

Chicago has not lost in Calgary since the 2006-2007 seasons and this year’s Calgary team doesn’t look very good. The Flames have lost 10 of their 17 games this season.  General Manager Darryl Sutter and head coach Brent Sutter could be in trouble as a lot more was expected out of the Flames this season.  The GM has done a poor job of putting this roster together and it has left the head coach in trouble.  There are major problems in Calgary that are not going away anytime soon.

Chicago Road Trip
The Blackhawks are in the midst of what they call the “circus” road trip. The circus comes into Chicago and takes up the United Center for more than a week which forces the Blackhawks to go on the road.  This game against Calgary is the second of their six-game trip.  It sure started well as the Blackhawks routed Edmonton 5-0 on Wednesday.  Going on the road may not be bad news for Chicago as it gives them a chance to play disciplined hockey which is something they have done far more on the road than at home this season.

Flames Falling Fast
This game against Chicago is perhaps one in which Calgary can at least show some emotion. They are playing the defending champs at home. If you can’t play your best against Chicago then you better pack it in for the season.  And if Calgary loses this game they may completely fall apart next week as they go on a five game road trip that takes place over seven days.  It is a road trip that the Flames have been dreading since the schedule game out.

NHL Betting Stats
As you look to make an NHL bet keep in mind that the Blackhawks are 17-7 in their last 24 road games. The Flames are 5-2 in their last 7 Friday games. The Flames are 1-7 in their last 8 overall. The Flames are 0-4 in their last 4 home games. The Blackhawks are 8-2 in the last 10 meetings in Calgary.
