New York Islanders at Philadelphia NHL Betting Tonight

NHL betting favors the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday as they host the New York Islanders. There is no question the Flyers will be a popular hockey betting choice in this game considering they have won the last 14 games against the Islanders. NHL betting has seen the Flyers win 14 in a row against the Islanders, outscoring them 48-23 in the games.   This season the Flyers have won all four meetings. “They’ve obviously had a good run on us,” said head coach Scott Gordon, “It’s only a matter of time before it turns the other way.”

While Gordon believes that things may turn around, the latest play of the two teams doesn’t show it. The Flyers are 6-1-1 in their last eight games including a 3-1 win over Toronto on Sunday in NHL betting. It was the fourth straight win for the Flyers as they moved into sixth place in the Eastern Conference. “They’re all important now,” Simon Gagne said. “Every game is a must win, with (the sixth through ninth-place teams so close together). We need to keep winning, and stay in control.”  Gagne has four goals in the past four games. “He’s a natural goal scorer, that was a big goal he scored for us,” head coach Peter Laviolette said. “Simon has a role on this team, it’s to put the puck in the back of the net, play some good two-way hockey, and bury some goals.”

The Islanders have lost 11 of their last 14 to fall out of the playoff picture.
New York Islanders continues to make mistakes that cost them games. “I’m tired of it,” Gordon said. “It’s going to stop. I’ve addressed it with the team.” The Islanders also can’t score on the power play as they are 5 for 44 in their last 12 games.

The Islanders are 13-41 in NHL betting in their last 54 vs. the Atlantic Division. The Islanders are 3-11 in their last 14 overall. The Islanders are 13-51 in their last 64 road games. The Islanders are 0-9 in hockey betting in the last 9 meetings in Philadelphia.

The Flyers are 4-0 in their last 4 home games. The Flyers are 7-1 in their last 8 vs. the Atlantic Division.  The Flyers are 6-2 in their last 8 overall.

Four of the last five New York games have gone over the NHL betting total. The last four Philadelphia home games have gone under. Four of the last five in this series have gone under.
