NHL betting heavily favors Vancouver on Saturday as they host the Minnesota Wild. The schedule maker did the Wild no favors in this game as the Wild had to play last night in Calgary. Those that bet on NHL games will definitely be looking at Vancouver in this matchup.
NHL betting has this game being televised on CBC on Saturday night. It is the last game of a five-game road trip for Minnesota. What also doesn’t help the Wild in NHL betting is that they have lost 7 of the last 10 against Vancouver. They have already lost twice this season in NHL betting to the Canucks. It was Vancouver winning 5-2 at Minnesota last month and the Canucks won at home 2-1 back in October. Last year the Canucks won five of the six NHL betting meetings between the two teams. The one win for the Wild did come at Vancouver though.
Minnesota has been a far better team at home than on the road this NHL betting season. The Wild actually have been very good at home but on the road they continue to struggle as those that bet on NHL have noticed. Somehow the Wild have won this season with an offense that is below average and a defense that is in the bottom half of the league. If you look at the statistics it is truly amazing that Minnesota is around the .500 mark in NHL betting. Taking the Wild in this NHL betting matchup might be a little risky though considering they struggle on the road while the Canucks are excellent at home.
Vancouver is really the opposite of Minnesota in many respects. Those that bet on NHL see that the Canucks are in the Top 10 in both offense and defense and yet the Canucks are not that far above the .500 mark. It is really a mystery as to why Vancouver is not better in NHL betting. The Canucks have been good at home though in NHL betting and that is something to keep in mind as you bet on NHL with the Canucks and Wild.
Minnesota has been led in scoring for most of this season by Mikko Koivu while Niklas Backstrom continues to lead the way in goal. Vancouver has been led in scoring this season by Henrik Sedin and they are led in goal as usual by Roberto Luongo.
