The NHL betting odds on Game 3 are virtually a pick at SBG.The San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings are tied 1-1 in their best-of-seven series with Games 3 and 4 in NHL betting online in Los Angeles. The Sharks took Game 1 but the Kings came back and dominated Game 2.
Kings Overcome Injuries
The Kings won Game 2 even though they were missing key players. Drew Doughty had two goals and two assists and goaltender Jonathan Quick made 34 saves as the Kings won 4-0. The Kings are without the injured Anze Kopitar and they were missing Jarret Stoll in Game 2 as he was suspended. It didn’t matter as the Sharks played a stupid game taking too many penalties and playing like they had already won the series.
Sharks Stars nowhere to be found
San Jose should win this series in NHL betting but if their best players continue to go into the tank then they could be in trouble. San Jose has more talent all the way around but it just goes to show when players take the night off anything can happen. Joe Thornton has been a continual playoff choker and he has done nothing in this series to shed that label. Unfortunately for San Jose his play rubbed off on his teammates. Patrick Marleau, Joe Thornton and Devin Setoguchi are supposedly the top line for San Jose but in the first two games they have no points.
Hard Work and Special Teams
If the Kings win this series it will be because they outworked the Sharks and because they won the special teams battle. In the two games so far the Kings are 3 for 9 on the power play while the Sharks are 0 for 7. If that continues then this series is going to be interesting. Los Angeles is working harder than San Jose and this may be a series where hard work wins out over talent.
