Complete Win for San Jose
The Sharks may have played their best game of the playoffs on Sunday as they beat Detroit 2-1. The Sharks led 2-0 before the Red Wings scored in the third period.  San Jose got excellent goaltending from Antti Niemi and goals from two defensemen in the win.  Ian White and Niclas Wallin scored while Niemi made 33 saves.  It was without a doubt the best game of the playoffs for Niemi and showed why he won a Stanley Cup with Chicago last season.  Game 2 turned on a huge save that Niemi made on a Darren Helm breakaway early in the second period.  Niemi also had a huge stop on Zetterberg in the final minute of the game.

Sharks 10-2 vs. Detroit
The San Jose Sharks have now won 10 of the last 12 games against Detroit. They seem to match up very well with Detroit.  Last year the Sharks beat the Red Wings in five games and a similar result could be in store this season.  The Red Wings don’t have the excuse of no rest that they had last year since they were well rested after sweeping the Coyotes in the first round.  Detroit has gotten excellent goaltending from Jimmy Howard who made 35 saves but the Red Wings have simply not done enough to win games.

Red Wings Getting Frustrated
Game 3 is huge for Detroit as the frustration is building.  Tomas Holmstrom took a roughing penalty that wiped out a power play for Detroit in Game 2 and you can see Todd Bertuzzi ready to explode. The Red Wings have the talent to make this a series with players like Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datysuk but right now the Sharks seem to have all the answers and gamblers making an NHL bet may take San Jose in Game 3.

What Next?
The Red Wings have lost six of their last seven playoff series when losing the first two games. Game 3 is simply a must-win game for the Red Wings if they are to win this series in NHL betting.
