NHL Betting – Team Lidstrom Wins High Scoring All-Star Game

NHL Betting – Team Lidstrom Wins High Scoring All-Star Game. For the third time in All-Star game history, both teams scored 10 goals or more as Team Lidstrom beat Team Staal in NHL betting.  The game went flying over the total and gamblers making an NHL bet were rewarded.  Team Lidstrom pulled out an 11-10 victory in a game that had very little defense.

Team Staal Blows 4-0 Lead
The hometown favorite was Team Staal since they had Carolina Hurricanes star Eric Staal as their captain.  Things started really well for Team Staal as they raced to a 4-0 lead. Team Lidstrom came back strong though and the teams were tied at 4-4 after the first period.  In a four minute span of the second period it was Danny Briere, Jonathan Toews, and Martin St. Louis scoring for Team Lidstrom.  League goal scoring leader Steven Stamkos tied the game at 6-6 for Team Lidstrom in the second period.  Team Staal also led 8-7 in the third period before blowing another lead that frustrated gamblers making an NHL bet at SBG on Team Staal.

Patrick Sharp Wins MVP
For some unknown reason, Team Staal’s Patrick Sharp won the MVP award as he had a goal and two assists.  Team Staal didn’t even win the game in NHL betting and it is not like Sharp had a great game.  Nicklas Lidstrom who was the captain of Team Lidstrom finished with a plus 7 while defenseman Shea Weber led the team with four points.  Both Anze Kopitar and Danny Briere had a pair of goals for Team Lidstrom.  Either of them would have been a better choice for MVP than Sharp who played for the losing team.  Another player who could have won the MVP was Dallas forward Loui Eriksson who scored two goals and had two assists.

Goal Scorers
Team Lidstrom – Anze Kopitar (2), Loui Eriksson (2), Danny Briere (2), Jonathan Toews, Matt Duchene, Dustin Byfuglien, Steven Stamkos and Martin St. Louis.
