Vegas and San Jose saw a rivalry born in game two. Vegas appeared to have won the game on an overtime goal. But in a highly debated decision the score was disallowed. Goaltender interference was the reason for the reversal. San Jose went on to get the Stanley Cup Playoff odds win. No rule has caused more outrage and argument than the goalie interference rule. And it seems to be getting worse instead of better. Referee discretion is gone. Eggheads in Toronto interpret it by video review. On the positive this sparked heated passions for both teams.

Series so Far
Vegas showed great resiliency in winning game three 4-3 in overtime. To get off the mat and win at San Jose was quite the character statement. Especially after blowing a 3-1 third period lead. It was a pressure cooker that would break most teams. Yet they withstood the onslaught. Game five of this series will return to Vegas. If necessary game six is at the Shark Tank. A seventh game with the Stanley Cup Playoff odds would be in Vegas. The winner of this series moves on to the Western Conference Final. Nashville or Winnipeg will be the opposition.
Vegas Golden Knights
Vegas had to face real adversity for the first time in its brief playoff history. Although they were outplayed in that second game they seemed to get away with it. Before the questionable call that cancelled out the overtime winner. Head coach Gerard Gallant was not happy with the sloppy play. It cost the Golden Knights after they took a 2-0 lead. When the Sharks tied game three at the 18:03 mark momentum was clearly with them. Yet at the frenzied Shark Tank Vegas didn’t blink. William Karlsson got the OT game winner. Goaltender Marc Andre Fleury was clutch with 39 saves. The Golden Knights now lead the series 2-1.
William Karlsson
Karlsson has proven to be an astute expansion draft pick. He leads Vegas with four goals, five assists and a plus six in post season. Marc Andre Fleury has a phenomenal .960 playoff save percentage. Fleury already has three shutouts.
San Jose Sharks
San Jose showed great resiliency in the game two comeback. Best of all they did it without left wing Evander Kane. He was suspended for a high stick in game one. Kane has been a significant difference maker since joining the Sharks in February. But game three proved to be the ultimate tease. This makes for quite the character test in game four.
Team vs. Team
Vegas has won five of their seven sportsbook matchups with San Jose. Five of those seven games went over the total. At the Shark Tank the Golden Knights have won two out of three visits. Two of those games went over the total.
Matchup to Watch
Vegas continues to amaze. Game three made a statement with the Stanley Cup Playoff odds. Their character and resiliency were confirmed.
