Tuesday NHL Betting – Wild at Devils on Versus

NHL BettingTuesday Night – Wild at Devils on Versus. The national television spotlight on Tuesday in NHL betting is in New Jersey as the Devils host the Minnesota Wild. The game will be shown on the Versus television network.  You can make an NHL bet on this game at Sbg global.

Wild 8-9 on the Road
Minnesota has shown the ability to win away from home. Anytime a team is around the .500 mark on the road they are worth considering.  If you look at the stats it is really hard to figure out how Minnesota is around the .500 mark. They don’t do anything really well as they are 20th on offense and 17th on defense.  The Wild have to play very well to win as they simply don’t have the talent to take a night off and be competitive.

Devils 6-13 at Home
New Jersey has been rotten at home this season.  In fact, New Jersey has been rotten everywhere this season.  Head coach John McLean was fired and Jacques Lemaire took over. It hasn’t gotten much better under Lemaire but maybe it will over time.  Lemaire came in and realized the team was out of shape and not ready to play.  It may take him a while to fix the mess that McLean left.  Remember as you make an NHL bet that this New Jersey team was the second best one in the Eastern Conference a year ago and they do have talent.

Brodeur is Struggling
Martin Brodeur is a Hall of Fame goalie but he is not playing well right now. He is also not getting much help in front. The Devils are the worst team in the league on defense. Brodeur was actually pulled last time out against Carolina.

Devils on the Block
New Jersey is pretty much out of the playoff picture so general manager Lou Lamoriello is expected to make some deals.  One of the players that could be moved is Captain Jamie Langenbrunner.  Some players have no-trade clauses in their contracts but it is not like New Jersey is a great place to live so they may be willing to be traded.

Tuesday Trends
The Wild are 7-3 in NHL betting in their last 10 vs. the Atlantic. The Devils are 15-36 in their last 51 overall. The Devils are 2-5 in their last 7 vs. the Northwest. The Devils are 1-4 in their last 5 home games. The Wild are 0-4-1 in the last 5 meetings in New Jersey.
