While he was at Temple, Golden received a reputation as a great recruiter, a good motivated and a disciplinarian. Some people call what he did at Temple a minor miracle. Temple was one of the worst football programs in the country and he turned them into a respectable program. Miami has the potential to be vastly improved under Golden. The Hurricanes did very little under Shannon even though they had a lot of talent.
Miami Bowl Game
The Hurricanes will be playing in the Sun Bowl against Notre Dame and it is expected that offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland will be the interim coach. The Hurricanes do not look to be a good bet in that game. They have nothing to play for and they won’t even have their new head coach yet. Notre Dame could be one of the better plays in the bowl season at the Sbg sportsbook. The Irish are actually three-point underdogs at the bookmaker in the Sun Bowl against Miami. Notre Dame has more motivation and they really should be favored in football odds at the online bookmaker. Miami has done nothing this season to be favored in a bowl game over anyone.
