Internet Betting – Favre’s Streak Ends

The Minnesota Vikings lost against the Internet betting odds on Monday night against the New York Giants and quarterback Brett Favre’s streak of 297 consecutive starts ended. It is one of the most amazing streaks in sports history but it is now over.  The Vikings were never competitive against the online betting odds in the loss against the Giants without Favre in the lineup.

Favre May be Done
There is a good chance that Favre will not take another snap in the NFL again.  He will be undergoing exams on his sprained SC joint but it doesn’t appear that Favre will play again. The risks are just too high and the Vikings are out of the playoff race.  Favre seemed relieved that his streak was over and it may not be long before Favre is put on injured reserve which would end his season and his career.  Favre was even speculating that he would be put on injured reserve.  He said that might not be a bad thing as then he wouldn’t have to answer any more questions about his playing status.

Vikings Stuck with Tarvaris Jackson
The Vikings did not look good on Monday and Jackson did not play well in his first real chance to show what he could do.  The Vikings have no other options at quarterback other than Jackson and they were hoping that he would be ready for prime time. He wasn’t.   He was sacked four times and didn’t look good.  The Vikings had won two straight against the Internet betting odds at Sbg global.com with Leslie Frazier as head coach but that was with Favre at quarterback.

Favre’s Career
If Favre’s career is over as it appears that it is; we can look back at some historical accomplishments. He ranks first all time in passing yards, passing TDs, completions and interceptions. This season has not been a good one for Favre has he has thrown a league-high 18 interceptions and his quarterback rating is one of the worst of his career.  The consecutive games streak is what Favre was really known for and it may never be broken.  The only player that even has a remote chance of breaking it would be Peyton Manning and he would have to play another 5.5 years to break the record.  Since Favre’s streak began, a total of 238 quarterbacks have started an NFL game.
